I became a fan of Hannah Huston while watching Season 10 of The Voice; it was probably her infectious positive energy that had me gravitating towards her talent. Her talent is the kind that causes chills down the spine, her intention is always genuine and her interpretation of songs always left me awestruck. I have been waiting for music from her since the season ended and she has finally dropped a single.
This Music Monday, allow me to introduce you to Hannah Huston’s latest single; “I Alone Have Loved You”.
The concept for the song was inspired by a painting that she saw at MOMA and the lyrics are as heartbreaking as they are hopeful.
I am shadows mark
At home in the dark
Of MOMA’s underground
But they won’t find me here
I am far and near
I don’t make a sound
But I rise at night, the moon lights her right
Hannah Huston’s voice excels in this song; the gentle melody coupled by the intention behind every lyric forces this song to take you on a ride. This is a journey that is worth taking and Hannah’s voice is the only soundtrack you’ll be needing the entire way. I am confident that this single is only the beginning for Hannah and I am tagging along for the ride. I was aware that her talent was something mystical and this song is proof that we’re only just starting to see what she has to offer the world. Hannah Huston was born to be on a stage and I, for one, am ecstatic to hear more music from her.
