If you missed Part 1 go HERE
We pre-booked a Steamboat cruise prior to our arrival in New Orleans for Thursday night. So on Thursday, we got our absolute fanciest and walked to Steamboat Natchez. We booked the 7PM Jazz Dinner Cruise and though it’s a bit more expensive than the regular cruise, it is completely worth it. The dinner is a buffet (win), the cruise lasts two hours and the Jazz music is the perfect soundtrack to the Titanic reenactment pictures you will undoubtedly take.
On Friday we went to the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, there we got to see the history of New Orleans graffiti. We also got to view beautiful art, emotional art, weird art and art that broke your heart and put it back together all at once.
That night we also got to go to Brennan’s for dessert (YUM) and the Carousel bar for drinks. YES, I said a carousel bar.
Saturday morning my friend Candice and I woke up early and went to get matching tattoos. We found a New Orleans tattoo artist; Jordan, who had availability at 11am.
That night we went to Bourbon street and finally tried a Hand Grenade (deliciously dangerous).
Look, I could sit here and tell you every detail of our trip (I guess I kind of already did that haha) but the truth is … you really have to experience New Orleans for yourself. The food was absolutely wonderful, not a bad meal was had the entire time. The people were nice, Southern Hospitality is a real thing that exists. The experience was an adventure that only brought three completely different girls together. New Orleans is a must see for anybody and everybody. Feel free to message me if you have any questions about my 5 day adventure! I hope you enjoyed this ride as much as I enjoyed the experience.
