HAIM “Little of Your Love” Single Review

Guys, I found my latest obsession and I have been over-playing the crap out of their music. I don’t know what kind of cute rock I was living under but somehow HAIM’s music had escaped me up until now. Okay so I’ll be honest; the only reason why I even looked them up is because Este’s bass face on SNL gave me life! That first night of discovery turned into hours and hours of Youtube videos of HAIM being watched; I was obsessed.

Talent pours out of these three sisters with every breath they take. Not only do they write (or co-write) their own song but they also play the instruments. They are known for Danielle’s electric guitar solos and their drum heavy improvisation on stage. I think it’s safe to say that I welcome any and all invitation to one of their concerts *hint*.

Turns out, I discovered them at the perfect time because they’re gearing up to release a new album and I AM READY! (Mostly because my roommate asked me to please play something other than their last album, Days Are Gone.) Their latest single was released last week and I’m still dancing to it; “Little of Your Love” is the perfect song to get you ready for Summer.

This song has all the ingredients for the perfect Summer banger (I’ve literally NEVER used the word “banger” … what is happening to me?); a catchy chorus, a beat that will make your hips move and hand-claps that are easy to keep up with (not all of us can keep a beat *cough*). The point being, this pop-rock trio is setting itself up for a strong Sophomore album and July 7th cannot come soon enough.

I dare you to turn this song up and NOT have a car dance party.

Fun song! Kinda has an 80s vibe, but in the best way. Summer song for sure!
