Music seems to be the answer to the most difficult question and sometimes it even answers the questions you didn’t even realize needed to be asked.
So there I found myself, in the middle of a crowded music venue, listening to Donna Missal sing her heart out and everything seemed to fall into place. I’m the kind of obsessed that is extremely respectful and only loving, never creepy. I knew that I would enjoy the Donna Missal concert, I mean if you’ve listened to her debut album then you’re aware of the goosebumps that appear on your arms the moment she opens her mouth. Well, I am here to say that those don’t compare to the goosebumps that appear when she stands in front of you and belts her heart out.
She is magical.
The look of amazement on Donna’s face the moment she looked into the sold out crowd was inspiring. Not only was experiencing her songs live a wonderful experience but I got to stand in the venue and be utterly inspired by this woman. This woman who previously struggled to book time at a venue, a woman who clearly poured her heart and soul into the music she creates and a woman who truly appreciates the support she is now getting. I’m getting emotional just thinking about it.
Her live vocals are flawless. Her passion can be heard throughout every single note she sings and the audience is better for having witnessed it. She kicked off the show with “Girl” and the energy radiated from the stage instantly. She pushed us forward (and reminded me to finish my screenplay) with “Skyline”. She riled up the heartbroken ex-girlfriends in the room with “Metal Man” and she helped me live my best life with my favorite song “Keep Lying”.
Donna Missal is on her way to the top and I am so grateful that I got to experience her talent in this small and historic venue. This is only the beginning for her and I am completely ready to see her rise in the music industry. I urge you to witness this magical being live if she comes to a city near you, it’ll be the best decision you’ve made this year.
